NBC Olympics: The U.S. men’s gymnastics team takes on defending champions China in the matchup of the day. First time Olympians Danell Leyva and John Orozco join Beijing veteran Jonathan Horton in an effort to take over the Olympic title from China, who has also captured five straight world titles.
Coming out of a strong qualification round, the U.S. has a legitimate shot at gold for the first time since 2004. The U.S. has gotten deeper since Beijing with Leyva, who has been the most consistent U.S. gymnast over the past two years.
